Self-Compassion…being kind to yourself

It’s common to be hard on ourselves when we say or do the wrong thing. Instead, try treating yourself with kindness and being open to learning from your mistakes. Being kind to yourself when you make an error is what we call “self-compassion”. Part of self-compassion is about accepting that nobody is perfect – we all make mistakes – and that’s what it is to be human. Acknowledging this can help you to break free of being too self critical. Self-compassion can help you grow and develop a more positive and resilient mindset. So, the next time you make a mistake, remember to be kind to yourself and see it as an opportunity for growth.
